Just Ours Privacy Policy

Just Ours is a private space for two people. A couple's data is intimate, so privacy is the default, not an afterthought. This policy explains what the app handles and why.
Our approach
Just Ours is on-device first. By default, everything you create lives only on your phone. The app collects no advertising data, runs no third-party analytics, and never tracks you across other apps or websites. We do not sell your data, ever.
What the app handles
- Content you create: your shared mood, one-tap acts of warmth, focus sessions, and saved moments (short notes and optional photos), along with your display name and an optional profile photo.
- An account identifier: if you turn on cloud sync to connect a second phone, you sign in with Apple. We receive a stable, app-specific user identifier (and the name you choose to share). We do not receive your Apple password, and we do not request your email.
- A device notification token: if you enable notifications, your device's push token is stored so your partner's gentle nudges can reach you.
- Subscription status: whether your subscription is active. Purchases are handled by Apple; we never see your card or payment details.
How it is used
The data is used for one purpose: to provide the shared experience between you and the one partner in your space. A mood you share is delivered to your partner's device; a saved moment is kept for the two of you. That is all.
Where it is stored
Your data is stored on your device. If you enable cloud sync, your shared records are also stored in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore and Firebase Authentication), which we use as our infrastructure provider to move data between the two phones in your space. Subscription status is processed through RevenueCat and Apple. These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments.
Who it is shared with
Your content is shared only with the other member of your space (your partner). Beyond that, data is handled only by the service providers named above (Apple for sign-in and purchases, Google Firebase for sync, RevenueCat for subscription status). We do not share or sell your data to anyone else.
Your choices and controls
- Delete your account in the app. Settings includes a delete option that removes your account and its data, on your device and in the cloud.
- Disconnect from your space at any time; your moments stay on your device.
- Delete individual moments whenever you like.
- Turn notifications off in the app or in iOS Settings.
Children
Just Ours is intended for adults in a relationship and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
Data retention
We keep your data only while your account and space exist. When you delete your account, the associated data is removed from your device and from our cloud storage.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update the date above and post the new version here.
